The Real Sheriff's Department

The building used as the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Department was actually the office for the sawmill (see: The Packard Sawmill), which is located just down a slope from the parking lot shown above. In some key scenes from the pilot, you can actually see parts of the mill outside the windows and doors of the sheriff's station.
